Mr. Mai hailed from the Hainan province of China and came to the shores of Malaya during the British Colonial period to search for a better livelihood. Like many of the Hainanese immigrants, Mr. Mai found his footing in the food & beverages industry where he started a coffee-roastery factory in the 1958. The image of “White Rabbit” was used as logo where it symbolizes kindness, peace and good luck. The brand is recognised by many for its freshly roasted high-quality coffee beans.
